What you need to know: Governor Christie has proposed changing existing legislation, A3689, to grant New Jersey citizens the same rights as residents of forty-seven other states, namely the right to keep and bear arms outside the home. The legislature will of course ignore this request.

The purpose of this website is to give law-abiding gun owners all the ammunition they need to petition NJ Assembly and Senate legislators to consider voting for this change to A3689. I present here step by step instructions.

1. First go to this website: https://anjrpc.site-ym.com/page/CombinedLegEmailAddr. If clicking on this site doesn't bring you there, cut and paste it into a web browser address line.

2. Open a blank email message. Put your address in the "To" field

3. Go to the website in step 1 and select the entire column of email addresses under "Assembly Email Addresses." Copy them by pressing control/C (control key first, and while keeping it pressed hit the letter C)

4. Return to the blank email and paste (control/V) these addresses into the "BCC" field.

5. Copy the following message as you did above:

Governor Christie has recently proposed changes to A3689 that would grant citizens of New Jersey the same rights to defend themselves as citizens of 47 other states. I urge you to consider these changes and to vote to implement them.

Approximately fifteen million Americans carry firearms in their everyday lives. They do so legally, responsibly, and safely. Moreover tens of thousands of New Jersey residents hold concealed carry licenses in other states. We deserve the same trust and consideration from our own legislature in our home state.

6. Make sure you replace "Your Name" with your actual name

7. Hit send. Almost done!

8. Now for shits and grins copy the addresses of the State Senators in the second column of the page linked above.

9. Repeat steps 2 through 7 above.

10. VERY important: Email every gun owner in NJ you know. Email gun and sports shops and ask them to send this message to their email customer or marketing list. I suggest the following personalized note:

Hi XXXX,

As you know New Jersey has the worst gun laws in the Nation. A very significant development for New Jersey gun owners is potentially in play at the moment. It has to do with gun rights in and outside the home. Please visit this website for more details. The process will take you about 10 minutes total, and could make a tremendous difference.

Folks, for just 10 minutes of your time we can swamp the legislature with tens of thousands of messages and possibly get through to some of those serving in the Assembly and Senate. I am also looking into obtaining publicity for this effort, perhaps through TV, radio, and newspapers.
